Melanie Black

Coach | LTS Director

A 14-time Adult Nationals/Showcase champion, Melanie is Master rated in Moves in the Field, and has Registered Freeskate, Group, Choreography ratings, and Power Skating and Hockey 1&2 certifications from the Professional Skaters Association (PSA). She is an American Ice Theatre Master Choreography Techniques graduate and a certified personal trainer.

Madeleine Gallagher

Coach

A 6-time National Competitor and 2012 Jr. Nationals Intermediate Pairs Champion, Madeleine has performed with Disney On Ice, and has been a choreographer and principal skater for the film industry. Her philosophy is to "Be the coach you always needed when you were a young, aspiring skater"

Teri Haag

Coach

Teri has coached since 2003, taking skaters through their gold tests in Skating Skills, Free Skate, Solo Free Dance, and Pattern Dance. She has coached Regional, Sectional, and National competitors and coaches the Midland Area High School Skating Team. She is an NSCA-certified personal trainer with a degree in graphic design. Teri teaches skating skills, singles, ice dance, off-ice training, and choreography. Her passion is helping her students develop self-expression, confidence, and positive character traits and fostering a lifelong love of skating.

Mary Naumowicz

Coach

Mary is a member of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and has been coaching since 1998. She has coached students of all ages for basic skills through intermediate levels, including many who have gone on to become Gold medalists.

Samantha Shriver

Coach

Samantha worked with a personal trainer and skated competitively for 11 years, training in Pennsylvania. She competed through the Novice Regional level at South Atlantics and is a USFS Gold Medalist in Moves-in-the-Field. Samantha is available for group and private lessons in Learn to Skate, moves in the field, freestyle, choreography, skating skills, and off-ice training. She was her High School Valedictorian and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. She is a Solids Processing Technology Expert at The Dow Chemical Company.

Kimberlee Ward

Coach

Kimberlee has been skating for 10 years, starting over as a 24-year-old in the Learn to Skate program. She is a 6-time U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships medalist, including Gold in 2021 for Bronze 1 Light Entertainment. She has competed and won several events at many local competitions, including Michigan Showcase, where she won two golds in 2023. She has Basic Coaching Accreditation through the Professional Skaters Association. She is a member of the Midland Misfits Theatre on Ice team, and iscurrently working on her Adult Gold Skating Skills and Adult Silver Singles Tests. She is experienced in coaching basic skills, including beginning levels of synchronized skating. She loves sharing her love of the sport with her students!
